Instructions
1: Soak the dried yellow peas overnight. 2: In a pot, boil the soaked peas with cubed potatoes, salt, turmeric powder, and 2 cups of water until tender. 3: In another pan, heat oil and add bay leaf, dried red chili, cinnamon stick, black peppercorn, and cumin seeds. Sauté for a minute. 4: Add sliced onion and ginger garlic paste; cook until onions are translucent. 5: Stir in chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder; cook until tomatoes break down. 6: Add the boiled peas and potatoes, and 1 cup of water; mix well and let simmer for a few minutes. 7: Stir in garam masala and lemon juice.
